Has anyone else noticed how slow stores like Primark and Marks and Spencer are when you return an item, I realise they have to do refunds on cards etc., but they then stand there hanging the returned clothes up putting tickets on them, why not give that job to someone else to save time, I personally think they do it on purpose so you think twice about returning goods.

Sorry wrong topic meant to go into chatterbank Ed
have never had to wait long in my M and S except just after christmas.
No...the only waiting I've done is if there was someone in front of me.
I don't shop in Primark but have never noticed any delay in returning items to Marks. Always quick service.
We've returned items at our local M&S at Brighton, Shoreham-by-sea, and Worthing without any problems and if you bought the item with cash, they will give you a cash refund with receipt, otherwise no reciept but plainly new, unworn and their brand, they offer to put amount it costs on a gift card. ;-)

Never changed anything in Primark.....buy clothes there for DIY stuff such as painting, decorating etc.
At least M&S have a dedicated desk for it. There`s nothing worse than being in a hurry to pay for something and the person in front is exchanging and refunding half a dozen items.
I've always found Primark to be pretty quick and easy to return things, only real wait is the queue itself. Ours is a huge Primark too, I think the biggest one they have, three huge floors and they even have their own Costa, nail and brow bar and cash machine in there now too!
