I am getting a unit from Canada that will need a co2 gas cannister fitting to it when it arrives in this country. Will I be able to connect it straight away or will I need an adaptor of some kind to convert Canada to UK fitting ???

what kind of 'unit'?

Homer, It is a very special hydroponic unit.
Surely if the equipment is that specialised the suppliers will be able to answer your question?

I have found out that it is the regulator which needs to be sorted. The type of fitting in the uk is RIGHT HANDED 0.860 X 14 TPI MALE. I need to know what the Canadian equilivent is & then see if it is easier to get an adaptor (if they exist) or just fit a uk regulator to the machine which will then obviously fit the uk co2 canister.
Here's what has been described as a 'leadfing' Canadian Hydroponic Info site - I'm no expert but it looks very good to me: http://www.hydroponics.com/info/info_start.htm The only problem being there isn't the exact information you're looking for! However there is an email link if you have any questions, so try asking [email protected] Good luck.
