A smoke alarm for the deaf was put in my bedroom about 2 months ago - there is a green light on all the time but this morning about 6 am - another blue light was flashing flashing etc. With my old smoke alarm I just had to switch off the electric ie pull the plug out. With this one when I pulled the plug out - it remained green and also started flashing at "battery". How can I get rid of the lights - I would say it would be running on battery but if it started behaving badly - I would need to get rid of this particularly for my neighbours - there is vibrating pad attached which makes a noise.
The guy left the instruction booklet but absolutely nothing to say how to switch it off. I will have to contact the original company as I have mislaid the new company's number.
change the "back up "battery, the new light that's flashing is most likely to be that it needs changing, DONT switch it off at the mains, your risking your life, who knows when a fire will erupt !
