5 Answers
Hi all,
For a while now i have been deeply intrested in hypnotics. however i have not yet found a reliable source which gives me straight answers. Firstly i really would like to know what happens as in how it works and also i would love so much to be able to hypnotize people. Can anyone please help me. either with first hand advice n help or any reliable links that i can try.
Thanks all in advance

Regarding your q about the stages of hypnosis. Although there are various ways to induce hypnosis (eg. rapid or progressive) I shall briefly explain how I get my clients "under". The client will be made to sit or lie comfortably and remove all restricting articles. Then I shall talk them through a relaxed breathing technique which calms them and puts them in the right frame of mind for deeper relaxation. Then I talk them through a full body progressive relaxation where they relax every part of the body in turn resulting in complete physical relaxation. By this time most of my clients are either already hypnotised or close to it. Then I deepen the state by suggesting relaxing visualisations. And you continue along these lines until you can recognise the the "symptoms" of hypnosis. When they are in a deep state of relaxation (hypnotised) I either continue with therapy (eg.smokers or weight loss or grief) or past life regression therapy which is awesomely fascinating. When the therapy is concluded I shall ask the client whether they are ready to return and upon affirmation I shall count them up and they "awaken" feeling very relaxed albeit sometimes a little confused but with complete memory of the whole experience. As you can see I only act as a guide to assist the client in relaxing themselves. Hope this helps as it definitely is first hand information!
