i charged it up overnight 100% by 4 oclock this afternoon it was down to 43% ive not used it all day can anyone help

Turning off location, WiFi and bluetooth unless neeeded will help a lot.
Facebook and messanger are well known battery killers. You can google it to find out more. If the above does not help you can install any of several free programs on a temporary basis that will show you which apps are using the most power.
Finally it is possible that the battery is no longer holding a full charge/or charging properly but in my experience not very likely.
