Gas Boiler Call Out Today.

The British Gas engineer came today to fix our boiler which had been very unreliable of late.
He wrote in the comments box

'Inlee fault on lockout
Replace Seal Combustion Box.'

Now when the boiler kicks in it really booms and sounds like a minor explosion and the metal case rattles. It's frightening me. Will it settle down? Do I need to call them back again?

No idea whether it's safe or not Tilly but just for your own peace of mind perhaps you should get it checked.

the engineer should have started it up and checked it was ok, so much for b/g enginners
