Hi. I am a DIY disaster, as my wife says. We have a fitted kitchen with lots of cupboards with shelves in. We have lost a couple of the little plastic things that fit in the holes and keep the shelves up. I have resorted to Heath Robinson tactics but have had at least one disaster. Anyone know where you can buy these little doodahs?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
alba, bad idea unless its the metal ones, The plastic ones degrade (some faster than others) and its the devil to get the glued in one out to put a new one in....experience.....you also can’t adjust the shelf spacing if you need to.
must admit haven't glued the blasted plastic doodahs in the cupboards, apart from the one under the sink which was driving me nuts Woofy. :-)
I don't think the shalf was long enough to balance on them.
Mr Alba is a joiner so obviously I had to take matters into my own hands lol
Even using wood glue one doesn't simply but up a horizontal against a side vertical and expect it to hold weight.
I have found that brand a reasonable glue, but not all competing brands are the same quality. Annoyingly when I tried a selection to fix skirting (avoiding holes in my nice wood surface) I was foolish enough not to take notes and so months later could not identify the failure brand.
