Where To Install Aa Dishwasher

Hello, Does a full size dishwasher have to be installed right next to the sink please? I really do not want to install 1 there as I have a space for 1on the opposite side of the room. Will that be okay? Thanks in advance..

A dishwasher can be pu anywhere, so long as you can get water to it and drainage from it.

The 'men' will come along to help you but where you put your dishwasher doesn't matter except it relies on a water in and out source, that's why people have them near sinks because the plumbing's nearby.

Dishwashers = Water-supply *in*......waste-water *out*.

If you can achieve those, you can site the dishwasher wherever you wish.

I would always want my dishwasher near a sink as I always rinse my plates and dishes before putting them into the dishwasher.

It's more convenient to just bend down by the sink and pop things in the dishwasher. No traipsing across the room with dripping crockery.

Apart from the obvious need for water and waste, I'd want it near the sink so I could tip dregs from mugs, glasses, any other liquid waste down the plug hole, not to rinse items though, isn't that what the dishwasher's for?? Tilly, I bet you polish your vacuum too ;)
I'd also want it near the bin to scrape solid bits and pieces in before putting the item in the dishwasher.

I rinse them to get the bits off before I put them in the dishwasher.

Of course I polish my vacuum! Doesn't everyone? It gets dusty.

You should always rinse items before putting them in the dishwasher.
You will have the filter clogged up in no time if you don't.

I scrape my plates and shove them in the dishwasher...filter gets emptied about once a month. If you need to rinse stuff before you put it in the dishwasher you need a new dishwasher!
