I hope someone can advice me on this.
I have a Hotpoint washing machine with a wool cycle. I have been using Woolite
( a very small amount as it lathers easily) and putting fabric conditioner in the machine drawer. When I remove it at the end of the cycle there are all debris residue on the fabric which I have to shake off in the open air. I don't think this should happen so would appreciate some help if anyone knows an answer to this.

Thank you murraymints. I have tried the cleaning process before but still same result. It is a fairly new washer and is only used twice a week. I hadn't thought of putting jumpers in a wash bag but it may be an idea to try.
even a pillowcase ?
Use liquid.

I just bung everything in the same wash.
