it has a hard drive inside it, just a smaller one than inside your computer.

it stores the songs on the hard drive, and also has some other little microchips in it that give you sound to your earphones.

combine that with a menu system for finding your songs, a screen to see what you're finding, and a cool scroll wheel (similar in design to those things you find on laptops), and you have an iPod!
