My uncle lived in a nursing home, and died about just over a month ago at the ripe old age of 92,my question is he had a Samsung television, and when he became ill in the nursing home and nothing more could be done for him,he was lying in his bed not knowing about anything they the nursing left his TV on but not on a
station but a screen with a still picture on it and music.,when you turn the TV on you can still hear the music
I have now given his set to a dear friend of mine who is 80,but I couldn't find his old remote,so I purchased one on ebay, and you can put the TV on and still hear the music with a blank screen and the screen telling us the arial is not powerful enough, Does anyone on theanswerbank have any ideas please, and getting the channels back.Thankyou for any help.

If you know the model number it might help - as we could look up the manual.

As for the aerial - did it work with the previous tv?
Is your friends aerial an old analoque one? If it is it will need replacing and the cable

Thankyou Tuvok,I got in touch with Samsung, they thought I had the TV with me,when I told them that the TV was given to my friend who is 80,I was told to take it to a Sumsung Engineers shop to be looked at to make sure the set was not broken and might need repairing.

Thankyou for your help much appreciated and for the download
