I'm sure that this belongs in 'Motoring' but here's an answer anyway:
A squeaking noise is unlikely to be indicative of imminent clutch failure. The usual signs include juddering when pulling away, a distictive smell, and an apparent loss of power when accelerating (i.e. an increase in revs not being fully matched by the expected increase in speed). I used to deliver cars to auction for a living and I've had loads of clutches go (including 3 in one week!).
A squeaking noise probably just indicates that a minor adjustment or a bit of grease is needed.
