I am downloading a 13 minute clip from mega to YouTube and so far it has downloaded 29% in over two hours.

Is it suppose to take so long?

Depends on the file size and speed of your broadband.

It took from 10.30 am to 8.45pm to download. It was only a 13 minute video!,

I sure hope if I have any more they will be a bit quicker?!?

Even now I have only managed to post it to my profile on another site but I thought I downloaded it to YouTube but can't find it.

Never mind it will just be me that will see how funny it is lol

If it downloads so slow that it takes longer than the clip shows for, then something's wrong. It means you couldn't watch it streaming in real time without it freezing regularly. Either your connection is shot to heck or their servers are overloaded, or your PC is doing more that it's sources can cope with. In your shoes I'd have cancelled, rebooted PC & router, and retried.

BTW one would upload to YouTube or download from YouTube. Saying, "downloading to YouTube", is rather confusing regarding which direction the data's going.

Rereading I now see you were uploading, which sort of proves my point. Still seems too long to me though. By the way, what is mega ?

Mega is the app it was sent to me on.

We shot the film, they then edited and uploaded it to YouTube but sent us a link on Mega to be able to have our own copy. We can each then edit our own parts in the film to post on our profile.

I have zero ability on tech stuff so don't even know what most of the terms mean lol

I should just employ a couple of 16 yr olds to do it for me!!
