My Chair Won't Inflate!

I have one of these: https://www.posturite.co.uk/rh-logic-400-high-back-ergonomic-office-chair.html#tab2 and despite buying a new bulb, I can't get it to inflate any more. If it does inflate, the air dissolves from the back the moment I lean back into it. Any idea what the problem is and if there is a fix for it? I will ask the company on Monday but wondered if there was anything I could try in the meantime. Thanks!

Have you got a leak?

I can't find one, Tilly! I have tried to feel for escaping air whilst pumping but not really sure where to look!
A very dilute solution of washing-up liquid in water, lightly brushed on the surface will reveal leaks by the formation of bubbles. Most likely the leakage will be at a seam in the construction of the inflatable part.

Where would I brush it? The bulb goes inside the chair itself and I can't see anywhere where the air might be escaping from?
try and inflate it under water or in the bath, bubbles should highlight where the puncture is! This is how you identify where a puncture is on a bike tyre
You can replace most lifting cylinders for about £25 (Amazon) but they do need strong-arm tactics to remove. See YouTube for demonstrations, all helpful.
