Has anyone got a link they can send me about exactly what kind of benefits, healthcare and other services etc ayslum seekers receive whilst they are waiting for their applications, and then what kind of help they recive upon a successful application?

I'm trying to fend off some rabid Daily Mail readers in the office who seem to think that they're all given Lear Jets and the keys to the city as soon as they arrive.

Not bad woofgang. As far as basic benefits go, are they given a basic monetary allowance each week? I can't really understand anyone who wouldn't allow them access to healthcare etc, but then some people would have electric fences and blood crazed rottweilers around the entire country!
