Steam Generator Iron

My steam generator iron has for the very first coming up along with the green light another red light. There is plenty of water so that's not the problem.

Thanks Mamy - all is well ie going through the procedures. bad thing I can't hear the beeps but am pressing every few seconds. According to instructions it should only take 2 mins to decalc but will that mean red light will go out before I empty. thanks

Hi Mamy - I performed the calc clean and the steam is great coming out of it but the red light still hasn't gone away - would you know anything. Thanks

I had similar problem, when you did the calc clean did you clean up the little metal plate that you have to remove. If it is covered in a film of limescale the light won't go out.

Ubasses it doesn't have a metal plate - the green light is the main light on the actual iron and immediately like extending the green is the red light blinking too
