How To Get Rid Of Fruit Flies In House Query?

Hi does anybody know how to get rid of fruit flies please? We have been eating loads of fruit and the flies are all over the house. i have been killing a few with swatting but they seem to be multiplying.i have no money at the moment to buy anything online,just need a cheap tried and tested remedy thanks.

Not tried it but a glass of cider vinegar with a dash of washing up liquid is supposed to attract and drown them.

Personally I'm still searching for a portable fly killer that covers all flies but none of the "good" insects. Need them in pubs and restaurants every summer.

I can recommend door and window netting to minimise the number getting into the house. But that is buying.

Agree with old geezer, saw something about it somewhere. Similar idea to catching wasps. Cider vinegar in a pot, paper lid on with holes in. Flies go in, can't get out apparently

Keep as much fruit out of their reach in the fridge or a box and don't put fruit waste in the bin indoors. Also make sure there is no veg going off.
