Which liquid/substance would you dunk a candle into to stop it lighting? I have an idea for a prank!!

The liquid you want is called water!

Scrape the wick with a knife blade to ensure that it hasn't got a layer of wax protecting it. Place the candle in a bowl of water and leave to soak for a while. Remove the candle and dry with kitchen towel.
