Hi all, on the 14th of May I sent a Letter to the USA, Royal Mail International tracked. I checked the tracking info today, since the recipient of the letter has not yet received it. The Royal Mail Tracker says the item was received in New York on the 18th May, the United States Postal Service tracker says it arrived In Los Angeles on the 18th May. What??

That is possible. It takes approx 6 hrs (only quarter of a day) to fly from NY to LA.

Oh, I should add, the letter appears to have arrived in NY and LA simultaneously.

The letter arrived in NY at 4:52 pm, and also in LA at 4:52pm both on 18th May.
As Toyah sang “it’s a mythtereeee”.

Have you called Royal Mail? I suppose there was no recipient signature (Proof of Delivery) due to distancing rules?
Z-M....I read the above to mean that it had arrived in the US on 18th....but not actually by the addressee.
oh we had a tray of cakes delivered at midday
our address but not our names

Don’t forget the time zones in the USA. LA is 3 hours behind NY
New York early morning, straight down to Los Angeles by the evening (or vice versa) ?
