30 Answers
I'm not 100% sure yet but keeping my eye on it. My question is, is it possible to find a company which will sell me a new one, uninstall old one, install new one and dispose of old one? Cringing here at what it's likely to cost. Thanks guys and gals.

As Retrocop suggests, ao.com is widely praised here on AB and gets excellent reviews elsewhere too. They charge £100 for integrated fridge and freezer installation

Unfortunately though, their working practices during Covid-19 mean that they can't currently disconnect your old fridge freezer in order to take it away for recycling. They can only take it if you've already disconnected it and left it by your front door

You might find that other big firms currently have similar restrictions in place as well. It might be best to phone around local independent suppliers to see what they can offer.

I am in a similar position. I think Currys do this, their on line selection is better than in store. When I asked in store previously I was told that the appliance has got to be fully defrosted and as my freezer is chocker I have been trying to run down the contents. Not easy during this blasted pandemic when we can only get limited deliveries of food. Let us know how you get on please.
We are in exactly the same position. I have looked at AO and also Currys but will use a local independent supplier we have always used. The problem is finding one that fits (integrated) because they are not all the same and that has narrowed the choice but we have been quoted £100 to disconnect, remove and install.
My local supplier took the temperature of my new fridge freezer down overnight, before they delivered it. ( Obviously, they had to unpack it to do this, so it was delivered without any packaging). They took my old one away and I could use the new one immediately. I don’t remember what it cost, but not a great deal. ( It was a few years ago now). This was not an integrated fridge freezer.
Sorry I have been so long but been reading mamya's AO.com link. Unfortunately they do only one 50/50 integrated and it doesn't fit. Loved that they do everything for you though. What a pity.
Prudie have you actually found one that fits yet? Mine has been in this flat since new, so 12 years isn't bad especially as it isn't a top model! I've been on the manufacturer's website and they no longer produce my model but luckily have advised the one they replaced it with bless them. My problem is finding a company that installs this particular model. What a palaver.
I'll have a look at Curry's now Rosetta but I know their prices are often higher than other places. Needs must though.

The only one we have found that fits so far is the updated model of what we have already which is a 10 year old Hotpoint 50/50. I was hoping to get something a bit more flashy, the local company is doing a search for us on what else, if anything, will fit. Some models are outrageously expensive, over £1000, goodness knows what they do better :-)
Togo thanks, as I said I'm monitoring it at the moment as it might just need an engineer. What is happening is I thought I must not be shutting the freezer door properly as I would open it and all would be fine as if it had not long been defrosted. Then later or next morning it would have melted drips everywhere that had frozen again. Then it would right itself and go back to normal and so on. I did get the manual out last night and altered the temperature from 2 to between 3 and 4 as I must have knocked it when cleaning. Waiting to see if that makes any difference.
It might be worth phoning Appliances Direct to ask if they offer installation/collection services on integrated fridge freezers. (Their FAQs pages seem only to refer to ovens, etc). They get excellent reviews on TrustPilot etc and they've got eighteen 50/50 units in their range:
