Problem With Mastic

Removing existing shower in bathroom.

The uprights of the "cabinet" are screwed into the tiles.

They are also stuck with some sort of mastic as well as sealant at edges.

One of the uprights is stuck and refuses to budge.

It is stuck to tiles which in turn are on wood. I have already cracked one file.

Have tried to soften with hair dryer but no success.

Was going to try with thin hacksaw blade but that may scrape tiles.

Any hints on how to solve the problem

Paint stripper will often soften mastic.

Best thing I can think of is to try something like these...

Slide one between the upright and the tiles. Use a kind of sawing action.

Might take a while though  🤔

Look carefully for any hidden screws

Went to Screwfix and got "NO NONSENSE SEALANT REMOVER" .

Painted down the edges with it and left for 30 Mins then same again.

Got old breadknife, gently tapped it between upright and tile inch at a time. Came off easily.

Thanks for replies.
