Is it normal for an instructor to kick a pupil of diary after missing one lesson. I got days mixed up and was when he was outside my house

Doug, if only Abbey would read that, but I don't think she will.

I'm afraid that experience has told me that if Abbey reads your post, Doug, she is highly unlikely to a) remember it b) note it or c) act on it.

I am becoming familiar with her distraction techniques, which she probably uses on herself to distance herself from reality.

Abbey, if you are reading this. Put your driving lessons on 'hold' for now and pay off your debts.  You cannot spend money you have not earned.  Your driving instructor would doubtless be pleased to know where he stands with you and can adjust his appointments as necessary.  Then he'll be happy to take you on when you are clear of debt and able to do so.

I posted to Abbey last week about how I don't think she could afford to buy and run a car, but her answer was she was hoping her parents would get her one for her birthday.

No mention of how she would afford to run it.

Situation

Question Author

Fair to say he sacked me obviously

Looks like it.

Question Author

Is that normal to sack a learner after one missed lesson?

Abbey, that's the question you asked 67 posts ago. I don't think anyone here was/is in a position to answer it. It was suggested that you contact the instructor if you wanted a direct answer re your situation.

And say what?

Abbey, you can't afford driving lessons. Have you already paid for some upfront?

Abbey, you wanted to know if it was normal for  'an instructor to kick a pupil off diary'. Nobody here could answer that for you. Most people thought it'd be more useful for you to find out if your lessons would be continuing, but you seem to find the other question'is it normal...' more engrossing. I think you sometimes focus on the wrong aspects of situations.

Barsel no. I'm looking for someone for hopefully when I've found a full time job

Abbey, please concentrate on finding a full-time job before anything else.

Did you get an interview at Selco?

Question Author

I only applied yesterday

Forget the driving lesson bs until you can definitely afford them.

Well, good luck with that, but do try to stop thinking about what you want in the future and just concentrate on getting a job first, then if you get the job, you can eventually make plans for other things that you will need money for.

Let us know how you get on if you get an interview.

Abbey, did anything come of the Tesco application?

I would like an honest answer - suppose all of a sudden you didn't need to pass a driving test. Do you think you could get in a car on your own now and drive it say into Cardiff and deal with the traffic?

Hope you can prove me wrong but based on what we've come to know about you on here I cannot imagine you'd ever be able to deal with the quick thinking and mental aptitude needed to drive a car on today's roads.

Question Author

Prudie yes it is nerve wrecking but I been told driving is for everyone just not manual
