Barry, check when I last started up my own thread.
It has nothing to do with Abbey, although I don't wish to say why I don't start my own threads anymore.
I have no idea why you think this is why I said what I said to Naomi who hasn't replied so don't know if she has seen what I posted.
I come on here to see what other Abers have posted, but when you see on Latest Posts that the majority of questions are from Abbey, it really puts me off from staying.
Sorry if you don't understand that.
I have to agree with Barsel - I've been on this site for so long, and have had so much useful advice over the years, and had many many fabulous conversations - it used to be the very first site I looked at every morning, but these days I log on and there instantly I see 3/4/5 posts from Abbey, all about mainly the same thing, but with more answers than almost any other posters posts! So I tend to give up and log off, tho I have posted a Q today in Body & Soul. I don't know what the answer is, if any, I just see lots of questions posted, and then the poster vanishes whilst we all post endless answers,
Then there must be times when you can see the majority are often from Abbey.
I wouldn't mind if the answers were accepted in 1 or 2 days, but they just go on for days at a time.
Earlier today I put on some genuine advice for Abbey about seeking professional medical help, and it would have been nice if she had said, ok, I'll make an appointment with my GP, but I doubt if she did.
That's just the way the cookie crumbles, Barsel. Early mornings I very often see all latest posts taken up by one regular early morning poster, at other times it might be someone who regularly posts in news. There's not a lot anyone can - or should - do about that. The AnswerBank is open to all so remember the minute you post something your name will replace one that might be annoying you.
Surely you can see that the vast majority of answers on Abbey's threads are not by her - it is everyone giving their two pennorth that keeps the threads going. Abbey moves on to another topic as it enters her head, whether it be considered important or frivolous to the rest of us it is what she is dealing with at that moment in time. I doubt she can even remember which category she has last posted in, and she has been using different categories a lot lately.
Yes, not surprisingly most answers on her threads are from others not abbey. But looking at her stats ( just under this name)
130Questions
2113 Answers
Almost all abbey's answers are on her own threads so she averages 16 posts on each of her own threads, which suggests to me she is also keeping her own threads going.
Lankeela- do you think we shouldn't try to help. I'm getting past the point of wanting to help because I think abbey's learning difficulties are so severe she sadly processes almost anything we say. Hopefully your posts help her but I have seen no evidence of that either
