how do football gate reciepts work regarding the away team?is it a fixed % they get ?

I was wondering this myself..... mostly cos my home town was Burton on Trent, and they are going up to OT for the FA cup replay with ManYoo.

Everyone is saying they will get a mega payout for this, so I can only assume that they get a fixed % of the gate, and they are also making the assumption that there will be a sizeable crowd.

In the league the home team keep all the gate money.

In the FA cup it is split 50 / 50
