Can the above phone be updated and if so how does one go about doing it ?

So it looks like you're out of luck.  (I can't really think of any reason why you'd need anything beyond Android 12 anyway though).

For my education - I'm aware that the latest Android is 15

What has 15 got extra to 12 ?

Also the last software update available was September 22

So , does that mean that security may be compromised using it ?
