21 Text would be the unopened message, dropping the T (first letter, opening) gives Ext. That has CA, circa, Latin for 'about', reversed (returns) inside. Ex  ac t.

27A I can only offer that a space heater is a portable device used to heat factories, etc. Not a very precise answer though.
