Sky+ conection

I am considering upgrading to Sky+. My question is - does upgrading require the engineer to run a new cable to the sky+ box or will the original cable do?

I'm not absolutely sure what happened when we got sky+ but it seems to be coming from the original box, the only disruption was putting the old sky box into the back room which needed a new hole drilling etc. Sky+ has revolutionised our TV viewing it is great.

Sky+ uses a dual cable from the dish, so yes, unless you already have that, you'll need an engineer to visit.

I had Sky+ fitted last week (btw it is great).

As someone else said, they need a dual cable to the Sky+ box so you will probably need a second cable run (they need two cables so you can watch one channel while recording another).

They also have to fit a new component on the sky dish as it is picking up two signals.

I took the opportunity to get multiroom fitted as it only cost another �10 a month.

So I moved the old Sky box to my bedroom and put the Sky+ box in the living room.

They also had to run a telephone cable from BOTH boxes to the telephone socket.
