american video on british video player.

i bought a video tape recently from ebay that says it's PAL and from the UK though i thought it might have been from the US I bought it anyway as it's quite rare.

i put it in my player and on one video player it played as if i had put the wrong play on (like as if i had toggled beyween longplay and short play) so when i pressed fast forward things came up fine, but when i pressed play i could hear sound but saw nothing and on the other player it just came up no signal.

so does this mean it is a US tape? if so can i import a US video player and get a adapter to plug it into a UK socket?

many vhs machines in the UK also play ntsc tapes too (the american standard). if yours does not, then i'm sure you'd be able to find a cheap one that does, without having to go to the trouble of getting a player from the US and an adapter.

the video is Closure by Nine Inch Nails. there is supposed to be a possible DVD release but it has been indefinitely postponed.

you can get it on dvd from the states on amazon.co.uk. hope this helps

I bought my dvd player from maplins and it plays anything i put in it. I payed �30 for it!

you can definately get it from america? i searched and it came up with the VHS version.

i heard the dvd version was postponed.

Definetly only available on vhs on amazon.
