Flaming sambuca
How do you make one?
I tried lighting a glass of straight sambuca and there was no flame!

It's true that this will reduce the alcohol content, but the reason for doing it is to sweeten the drink, and to infuse it with a subtle coffee taste. The flame will be pale blue and translucent. Make sure you put it out before drinking. Traditionally a beer mat placed over the brim of the glass for a few seconds (to starve the flame of oxygen) will do the trick.
If your making them yourself, remember to use small shot glasses filled to the brim. That way the rim of the glass won't get hot and burn your lips.
Pour the Sambuca into a shot glass, and light it. You should see a small blue flame. Quickly place your palm over the glass. You should feel the suction (it will put the flame out). Remove your hand and quickly inhale the fumes from the glass. Immediately shoot down.
Although it's blooming disgusting stuff! If you like it, you might like this too;
Slippery Nipple
Ingredients:
White Sambuca, Baileys and Cherry Advocat
Instructions:
In a 30ml glass shot pour 25ml of White Sambuca, layer with Baileys and add a dab of Cherry Advocat
You have to pour the bailey's really really slowly to keep it separated from the sambuca. The easiest way to add the cherry (any cherry liquor will do really) is with a straw. should only be a tiny bit which will settle on the bottom. Still tastes disgusting, but looks pretty!
