How much electricity does an average computer use per day?

Hello, it's just an average Hewlett Packard PC. Anyone got any ideas? I use it for about 4 hours every night. 12 hours on Sat and Sun. I'd appreciate any answers. Thanks. x

Your PC will probably use around 100-200 watts depending on the age, components and screen used.
12.88p per KWH is the Higher Rate charge from NPower on one of my bills. So
200watts x 4 hours / 1000 = 0.8
0.8 x 12.88 = 10.304 pence for 4 hours or 30.912 pence for 12 hours.
I think thats how it works. (if I did my number crunching correctly!) And that is based on a power hungry machine on the higher rate charge. So It's likely your charge will be MUCH less. Hope that helps
