We use it domestically to talk to relatives, here and abroad. My husband who works from home, also uses it to call his business partners.
The trick to saving money is to persuade all the friends & contacts you call regularly to download it to their computers free of charge, and either arrange to call via Skype at a certain time or phone & say " I'll "Skype you back in 5 minutes". People seem so wedded to their mobiles these days that when they're in the house it doesn't occur them to switch their computers on. However, there are big savings to be made if you and your contacts can get to change your habits. We've generally found the sound quality pretty good, even when talking from the UK to Canada, the US and Bahrain.
its not SKYPE but i made 3 international calls last night for over 1 and half hours (FREE). it costs 10 euros for 120 days and permits you to call landlines in loads of countries FREE. the 10 euros also lets you call 089 084 and mobiles at a low chargable rate. buy a headset and you get no echo. superb service.
