dvd volume
3 Answers
I have just bought a samsung dvd/video player. Anyone know why the volume is much lower when i play a dvd compared to the volume when i'm watching tv.For example, i have my tv volume at 20, but when i insert a dvd, the volume drops, even though it is still at 20, i have to put it up to at least 35. Maybe it happens with all dvd/video players, but i just wanted to know why and if anything can be done.Thanx

It is probably set for a lower volume overall in order to provide headroom for the really loud parts. There may be a dynamic range control option that works with some discs. Look for an audio submenu in the setup menu. Just might help?
