Ebay- multiple duplicate feedback entries

How is this achieved? I see quite a lot of feedback listings that have 3 or 4 identical entries from a person that obviously wrongly affect the member's rating.

Is it dubious?

Take a look at the feedback listing for the Seller under this item no...... 8824475989

Feedback score only goes up with feedback from each unique member.

In your example the seller has a feedback rating of 589, but the number of actual feedbacks he has received is 834.

There is nothing wrong with having repeat customers - it can show that the seller provides good service.

Not sure if this is totally correct Ethel- I can see the maths add up but the repeat entries are at exactly the same time as each other- they are not separate entries for different purchases?

Some people, especially those that sell a lot of items use automatic feedback, just gives a positive feedback with a pre-written comment when payment is received.

Cyclone - still doesn't explain 4 separate entries from a Buyer for the same item at exactly the same time

The example(s) you are using are actually for 4 different items.

If a Seller has sold (for example) 10 different items to the same Buyer they will recieve only 1 Feedback point. If anything it is underrating the Seller. This is in no way dubious and is a consequence of the system which has been implemented to protect the Buyer from Sellers who would try to inflate their rating using dubious methods.

But they aren't for the same item, the numbers are different and when you look at them they are a scarf, a hat and two shirts for example. Since the times are only given to the minute and the feedback has obviously been cut and pasted it seem pretty reasonable to me. I was looking at the feedback from haiml for instance
