ceiling fans

wh do normally ceiling fans have three blades not four , two etc. Why particularly 3.

I cannot recall ever seeing a ceiling fan with only three blades. I Googled "ceiling fans" and all the sites I looked at showed pictures of fans with four or five blades:

i have one with three blades, i have also seen them four and five.
