How does it work in detail.
I have a to position toggle switch ... on and off
there are three places to connect wires
power, acc, and ground
how would i connect lets just say lights to this or a car stereo....
I need to know exactly which wires go where and how the acc and the power wire differ.

From your description it would appear you have a toggle switch with a lamp inside. If so then the wire from the battery +ve terminal (via fuse) would go to the connector marked power. The device to be powered would have its (usually) red wire connected to acc. A wire from the battery -ve terminal would go to the ground terminal. The device would also have to have its (usually) black lead connected to the battery -ve terminal. Hope this helps.
