I would like some discs cut out of 3mm metal. They must be 22.5mm in diameter (need to be pretty accurate). Would this be something needed to be done by CNC machining. If any 1 can give mw a quote for these I only want about 20 of each to start with. (I am using them as bases for my Games Workshop models, as i think they will look aloy better than the rubbish plastic ones you get) Thanks

These are relatively simple components to produce.try a local engineering workshop.I would guess you would be looking at a minimum order charge.

Could you not use off the shelf washers ?
The most economical way would be laser cutting from sheet, either stainless steel or aluminium (ali being far cheaper). you could google to find your nearest laser cutting / profiling company or for an idea on price give these guys a call '5750 components'. Having dealt with this company before i'd say youre looking at a few pence each for the discs although they have a minimum order of 50. Tel: 0151-548-5750
Is it just a coin-sidence that this is the size of a pound coin? <"?
where abouts are you?
find a laser profiler who can cut them
should cost about 25p each from mild steel but most companies have a minimum order charge of around 50 plus vat.
aluminium may not be cheaper as it is slower to cut using laser. A laser that can cut 20mm mild can usually only cut 10mm aluminium.

I am based in Portsmouth in Hampshire and no it is not a coin-sidence that these are the same size as a pound coin, I was trying out a load of different things as stands and the thing I found fitted and looked best was a pound coin, so i have based my measurements on 1.
spectrum laser in waterlooville can cut 15mm mild, 8mm ali

got details from yell.com but cannot give any details as they are too far from my laser company so i have no dealings.
Be prepared for a minimum order charge, they may allow to order more parts within that price though so do ask.
Surely it would be cheaper to turn a bar to 22.5 on a lathe and just part them off as required. Any small engineering place could do it.
Just thought i'd point out : sticking them together may cause problems as they will react and the aluminium will corode causing a white powdery layer.

what would be the best way of bonding the 2 pieces of metal together?
Double sided tape maybe.
