Is there away of copying a scratched cd?

you want to copy because it is scratched ? if so,have you tried polishing out the scratches using brasso ?
its worked for me in the past.
Brasso!! very risky!!! if it don't work, the disc is screwed, very aggressive!! they sell products in PC world for removing scratches from Cd's i think, just try and copy it and see if the copy works OK, it worked for me a couple of times, depends how bad it is.
Apparently if you leave a scratched CD in your freezer overnight, it will play (almost, depending on how badly it's scratched) perfectly again.
