Your mate is totally correct the blue light stops you being able to see the blue veins in your body.

I use to work in a nightclub and we had loads of people ask the same question, that's why I know!
I went in the public toilets in a supermarket and all the lights were blue - there was a notice up to say it was to deter vandals. Maybe there was also another reason..............
I will highlight my veins in fluorescent green before I go in those nightclubs then, lol
We know your not joking Ratter. lol

ive heard off another source that uv rays kill bacteria... so maybe there is a complete innocent reasoning behind it all.
You got me sussed, trouble is my syringe always gets blocked up with the leaves!!
The UV lights are deigned as a deterrent for users. You can usually tell if a pub has a regular user clientele because the cistern tops and toilet seats will either be missing, or coated in vaseline - again to stop providing a handy work surface for shooting or snorting.
Thank god my "clubbing days" are over.
would powder round your nose glow under the lights?
