Mobile phones in factorys
4 Answers
My employer has said that insurance companys are looking at banning mobile phones in the factory, is this true, there is minimal use in our factory of mobiles, the odd text etc. but definately in no way excessive. Are they making excuses and trying to politely tell us to stop it, or is it true?

Employees have mobile phones so that their families can contact them in emergency. If the situation progressed, machine operators, for example, could be walking around talking into their phones. We already see the dangers caused by people who wrongly think they can drive and use a phone at the same time. I hadn't heard of this ban, but it could be possible.
