Also it is quicker to stop the cause of the problem namely CFC's and other chemicals that industry use and pump out into the atmoshere. Ozone is released into the atmoshere naturally by volcano's and would probably keep things in check as they have done for millenia. It takes about ten years for Ozone to reach the upper levels in our atmoshere so even if we did start producing it on a large scale it will still take a decade or so to have any influence. Also it is poisonous and any adverse wind effect might have even worse effect on the immediate enviroment. Difficult problem I am afraid. The shortest distance would be at the poles but who wants a big industrial plant there.
Time will probably short things out in one way or another, the release of carbon is more of an immediate worry and will in a shorter period of time have an even bigger enviromental impact on us. We must reduce carbon emission from cars and industry to prevent Global warming. The future isn't bright and it may well be Orange.
