there is a "contents bank" program which comes with the phone on CD. This allows you to put wallpapers and ring tones on your phone. I managed to connect before, but now for some reason it always says either "time out!" or "initialization failed" or something to do with the USB port already being used - which it isnt! Can anyone help me? Anyone else got a LG CHOCOLATE? thanks, Emma.

Hey i had this phone - well about 4 of them replaced because they were just faulty. I also had this problem too which was really annoying as there isnt a lot you can do without connecting to that software. Im not sure if its a fault with the phones modem or anything. You are making sure you turn on the phone modem before connecting to the USB port?

Yes i've done it over and over again! I did manage to get it working before - that was months ago! When it says "Initializing please wait" does it actually mean that it will work if i wait? Because I dont think it does, iv waited ages. I dont know whether its worth waiting for any longer, because nothing seems to be happening.

well when it does say initialising , when it will work it will only really keep you waiting about 15 seconds. If you wait any longer you will simply get a "timed out" message how frustrating. I think i got mine working the once then couldnt then after, even after id had replacement phones. In the end i have had it changed for a different model. Its a gorgeous looking phone but the technology of the phone is very poor and comlicated and i find the instructions are almost useless to?I actually managed to make mine work on this site called a consumer experience or something, i have been scouring the net for it for you but cannot seem to find it anywhere! il post it if i find it!

Thanks very much for that! I havent found any other faults with the phone - YET! everything else seems to be working fine apart from that! oh one thing i remember, once, I couldnt hear anybody speaking on ther other end for a few days, but they could hear me fine. I realised that i needed to turn it off and then back on again, because i hadnt turned it off during that time. And thats all it was! that simple! but , I mean why would the sound go?? to be honest, I wouldnt want to change my phone for a different model - im a bit shallow when it comes to technology - i love the minimalistic look of it! Thanks for searching for me again, I dont want to trouble you! Ive been looking for ages too! Maybe we should give up!! Ooo thats well weird what u say about not being able to hear down the phone, this went wrong with 2 of my LG KG800 replacemtn phones, i thought i had bad network then i had full network and called out and couldnt hear anything, apparently the people on the other end of the phone could hear me but i couldnt hear them...sounds like a weak point of that phone also. I loved the way it looked but got bored as its all looks and not that great on the phone everythings done in a complicated way! Id change the handset if i was you!x

nah... its grown on me now! I suppose there's never going to be a perfect phone is there?! Thanks for your advice anyway x
