I have just bought my daughter a mobile phone for xmas, but could only get it on the vodaphone network, as all the rest of the family are on o2 it seems sensible to switch to that, I have an o2 sim card ready but not sure if it can be done or how, any ideas?

a) Pay someone on your local market to unlock the phone to all networks - there's usually someone on you market offering such a service or small independant mobile phone shops will do it too.
b) search for unlocking phones on Google and a couple should come up which will allow yo to phone a number, they will tell you how to do it (Costs anything from 10 to 30) you will need your imei number, usually found on the box.
c) Obtain the software and cable for your phone and reprogram it that way.
d) There are reports of people seling the unlock codes on ebay for 99p but I can't find them that may be worth a look.
Good luck - let us know which method you choose and whether it worked for you.
