Your credits are of benefit to you in the sense that should you choose to complete that degree (or choose another very similar degree) you should not be required to sit those particular subjects again. However, all institutions have their own rules on this and one university/college is not obliged to recognise the credits of another. Also, look into whether your credits are only valid for a certain length of time. Usually, they are valid for a three year period, so if you do not recommence your degree in that time, the credits 'expire'. From an employment perspective, I very much doubt that your credits are of any benefit to you to be honest as potential employers will not recognise your credits as a qualification in their own right.
