Dodgy central heating programmer
3 Answers
The programmer in my new house has a habit of sending itself into failure mode ( it sets itself for 24 hrs instead of the timing I require) and I wonder if this is easy to repair or do I need a new programmer. It is a Satchwell make which purports to do individual water and heating control. When it works it is fine but about 3 times a week, I have to reset the clock.

- I personally would recommend the Horstmann Centaurplus C series programmers they will have one to suit your needs ie. separate water and heating control.
If you don't know how to install get an electrician in to fit it for you.
The programmer retails at aroung 25.

woodchopper is bang right. For what a new programmer costs it is not worth mending it !
If you play it shrewd as well and go to a good knowlageable plumbers or electrical merchants and tell them what programmer you are replacing they will look up and give you one that is compatable to you're existing one so no need to rewire it. :o) Just a straight swap.
