i have a new house and want to fit shelves and mirrors

there's 1/2 inch plasterboard on thermal blocks with not enough room to fit a butterfly clip on all the walls would appreciate any idea's on how to get around this problem

with a masonry drill, drill through the plasterboard and into the thermalite block.
Push a rawlplug into the hole in the thermalite. I usually fasten the plug to a long enough screw, to push the plug through. Probably needs a gentle tap to help it along. Remove the screw, line up the shelf or whatever, and screw up as normal. Of course, you will need to use a longer screw than normal, to reach into the wall block.
Be careful not to overtighten, or you could put a hole in the plasterboard
