if you want to improve your connection speed buy a belkin router,we got 4 pc`s in our house and they all run at 11 mb,even though i only pay for 1 mb with tiscali the router boosts it big style

u have to remember though some things will be measured in bytes and some in bits, so if ur payin for a 1mBYTE connection, thats actually 11megaBITS. not quite 11, but i dont see how a router can exceed ur ISP's allowable speed.... and it happens whether i use a usb modem or my speedtouch 576 router
Question Author
my last post was meant to say "8 megaBITS" not 11, sorry
warkult I think you a little confused there. Random's right.

Annoying isn't it? You pay for an 8MB service and get no where near this 99% of the time. I guess this just represents the maximum theoretical speed available if the exchange is quiet....which it never is.

but the thing is, about 4 months ago i was getting it every time i logged on, then one day it got crippled
