Renault Radio Code advice?

Hi,
My car battery went flat. I had to disconnect it to charge it up and now the radio requires the 4-digit code.
Renault want �20 for supplying it to me which seems a bit excessive to me.
I have heard that there is a 'code generator' software which gives the code if you imput the radio model/identification no.

Appreciate any help & advice.

Hi, I work for Nissan (you know Nissan / Renualt more or less the same company) and I drive a Nissan (cheap cars!). When I bought my car there was a radio key code sticker with the documents. I know that this is standard across the range (well the models built at Sunderland anyway).

Im guessing that Renault think that youve lost the code and need to generate a new 1. If you havent already tried, check all your documents etc. There might be a code for the radio somewhere in there!

The car was 6 months old when we got it.Although we have most of the documents & even the radio instructions there is no radio code.

Is it just me or does anyone else think �20 is rather a lot to charge just for supplying a 4 digit no?

try typing premier recodes into Google

or

type in radio recodes into Google


Either way I think you can save on your �20 quote

there is a slight chance you could i could get the if you supply the serial number and model printed on the case of the radio,this will mean removing the radio.

It is a 'Tuner List' Renault radio
Model No:- 22DC277/62
Prod No:- FD0303410303005
It also has TN739 & RN277f30303005 on another label.

sorry no luck its a philips code and i don't have an updated calc for philips.

dont go to Renault, they will not guarantee that the code they supply is the correct one, and you still have to pay the �20. Most car electrical specialists will re code the radio for you, it still costs about �20, but at least it is guaranteed to work

I am reluctant to go to Renault unless as a last resort.

If the car is six mnths old its still under manufacturers warantee? Find out whats covered and, well use your imagination :) The code should have been on a credit card sized slip of paper tucked in with instuction folder. Hope this helps.
