instructions for a micro-jcb/digger
5 Answers
I'm proposing to hire a micro-jcb to dig some drainage trenches in my back garden. I would like to get a read at the instruction or training manual for one of these before I go ahead but the hire company are reluctant to lend me one before I commit to a hire. Anywhere on web I can find one - free- to read?

It wasn't difficult, and took me about 10 minutes to get the hang of it. The hire company gave me about 5 minutes of instruction. They work off 2 joysticks.
However iof you can get a man and a JCB at 120 per day, that would be a better bet.

Many thanks to Steve 2010 for his lack of confidence in my abilities. Not that it matters but my job as a firefighter routinely involves driving and operating a 100' aerial rescue platform worth about 500,000 which my employers seem to think i'm competent to handle. I didn't just jump into that without learning something about it and wouldn't have thought it inappropriate to do the same with a hired micro digger. However, my grateful thanks to him for his suggestion re the man and digger - I'm surprised that that's all it would cost for him, it, insurance, vat, fuel, delivery, etc. Thanks also to the others who replied in a less sarcastic tone - it sounds like a bit of a "big boys toy".
