I have just purchased a Samsung D900, with USB disc and Samsung editing disc, after loading the discs, the PC still does not recognise the phone for downloading pics/music etc, when connected. Can someone advise what am doing wrong, as i have also had Pim/file manager downloaded (now deleted) from Samsung but no joy. THANKS IN ADVANCE!

I assume the USB slot works fine for other devices. You could try downloading the latest latest drivers from Samasung's website, the one's on the CDs are usually way out of date.

Also, some of these devices are often very fussy about the order in which you install the drivers and connect the phone to the PC, i.e. you often need to connect the phone only when told to do so and not before.

connect the cable into the phone first then into the pc, don't know why but it's the only way mine will recognise it!

I had this problem with my E900. You need to get the software updates form the website then it should work fine
