Thank you for the reply I am aware of the basic differences between propylene and ethylene glycol as used in antifreeze. What I am trying to find out is why a manufacturer would use one or the other type. For example I have been using proylene based Coldstream which is no longer supplied. It seems only ethylene based is now available from this maker. Should I pursue a propylene based one elsewhere or go with ethylene based replacement? (The engine I'm suing it in is not relevant in this discussion.)
What a pity 'knobbynonuts' assumes that all the 'peeps' on this site are as clueless as him/herself.
They are not clueless but sensible, sane individuals who post sensible, sane and useful replies.
